Dr Abood and his team were recommended to me for his seamless minimal scaring small operations. I had a small op to remove a lump in a visible area. The operation was very seamless, quick and low fuss. Free parking, easy to find, and the team were extremely friendly and attentive. They made a real effort to squeeze me in in a short time frame which I really appreciated, and sent me away with an after care plan. The actual wound was extremely tidy and I felt the operation was extremely thorough and professional. I had an appointment to view and operate on the same day but I also know that if I had wanted to postpone the operation to have time to process what he had told me, they would have done so, and made every effort to make me comfortable moving forward.
Although I'm still to see the final healed result I would thoroughly recommend the day Clinic for small ops like mine.

We’ve thought everything through from the patient’s perspective during the bespoke construction of The Day Clinic. From creating the right ‘flow’ through the clinic to envisaging the best way to configure our operating theatres so that patients can be put at ease.
Here we have an image of the clinic during it’s construction phase. We’re planning where exactly the operating table should go so that patients have the option of looking out to blue skies or tranquil images played through a high definition TV screen!

By Car
If you are travelling to The Day Clinic from central Cambridge you should take the A1307 towards Haverhill and turn right at the first roundabout onto Hinton Way. Take the first turning on the left into Magog Court. You will find parking facilities for your car or bicycle available on site.
If travelling from other directions, you should aim for the roundabout where the Al307 meets Hinton Way and take the exit towards Shelford. Take the first turning on the left to Magog Court.

By Bus
If travelling by bus, take the green Park and Ride bus to Babraham Road bus stop. The Day Clinic is then a 10 minute walk away. The Babraham Road Park and Ride service operates every 10 minutes. This bus can also be caught from Addenbrookes Hospital and the Grafton Centre.

By Rail
The nearest stations are Cambridge or Shelford Stations:
Cambridge Station
There is a taxi rank directly outside the station. The journey should take approximately 15 minutes, traffic permitting. There are many train services connecting Cambridge to London as well as other destinations.
Shelford Station
Although Shelford train station is closer than Cambridge, there are fewer trains than to Cambridge. Also there is no taxi rank so a local taxi would need to be called in advance. The journey should take around 5 minutes by car.
